We’ve been counting our blessings for 20 years – Here’s what Bring Me The Horizon’s debut album sounded like on record and live

When it comes to Bring Me The Horizon—one of the world’s biggest rock bands today—many new fans don’t even realize that this Sheffield band, which now plays in arenas in front of tens of thousands of people, used to rock out with straightened, black-dyed hair and nails, playing songs with dissonant, Black Dahlia-style riffs, and songs whose titles were named after a certain Slater’s unwashed dick. The British band’s debut album, which turned twenty this year, proved to be the perfect opportunity for BMTH to celebrate it in true BMTH fashion—in a way very few before them have: thumbing their noses at success and glamour, and fully embracing their raw, aggressive, and often instinct-driven youthful nature.

Nova Rock 2026 – Festival Review

Nova Rock Festival was first held in 2005 near Nickelsdorf on the grounds of Pannonia Fields. Back then, it was only a two- to three-day event, but over the years it has grown into one of Europe’s biggest gatherings for rock and metal fans, now attracting visitors from multiple countries. Thanks to its close proximity to the Hungarian border, it has also become a favourite among Hungarian festivalgoers, largely due to its excellent value for money and consistently impressive line-up.

Authentic, taboo-breaking, and nothing stands in their way – Interview with Melrose Avenue

The Australian pop-metalcore band Melrose Avenue burst onto the scene with their EP Taste, instantly catching the attention of fans and those into melodic yet powerful vibe. The lineup features frontman Vlado Saric, guitarists Mitchell Black and Shawn Mayer – with Mayer also handling supporting vocals – and drummer Jed McIntosh. Their sound blends Saric’s melodic vocals with sudden, visceral screams, driven by punchy, riff-heavy instrumentals with a strong focus on guitar riffs. After introducing themselves to European audiences last year, the band are set to return in 2026. Alongside their US and Australian touring plans, Melrose Avenue will once again make their way back to Europe, bringing their explosive energy to fans here. We checked in with the band to hear their take on the fast-moving years behind them and how it’s been along the way.

Snack #4: Slipknot – The Dying Song (Time To Sing) /07.21./ ENG.

Slipknot had been teasing a new album since early last year, and in November the first new single 'The Chapeltown Rag' arrived, but no new info about the album was announced. Until this moment, Slipknot have just unveiled a new track, 'The Dying Song (Time To Sing)'. We also got the album title and a release date. Slipknot's seventh studio album, 'The End, So Far', will be released on September 30th via Roadrunner Records!
